BERT GHEZZI is a popular author and speaker. He has written twenty books, including Voices of the Saints, Keeping Your Kids Catholic, Mystics and Miracles,
and Everyday Encounters with God (co-authored with Benedict Groeschel,
CFR). His most recent book is Adventures in Daily Prayer. Hundreds of Bert’s articles have appeared in the Catholic and religious press. In Spring 2011 Loyola press will publish a paperback edition of
The Heart of a Saint under the title Saints
at Heart.
Bert
has been involved in all levels of religious education for more than 35 years. He has served as a leader and teacher in several
Catholic renewal movements. Numerous educational and renewal conferences throughout the United States and Canada have featured Bert as a speaker. He appears
frequently as a guest on EWTN programs. EWTN also features his series “Signs
of Our Times.” Bert is often interviewed on Catholic radio networks. His 2-minute spots on saints play regularly on
EWTN radio and at 9 AM Eastern every first Friday he introduces saints of the month on Relevant Radio’s Morning Air.
After
receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, Bert served for seven years as a professor at Grand
Valley State University,
Allendale, Michigan. From
1975 to the present, he has served as a senior editor for four publishing companies. Currently, he is senior acquisitions
editor for Our Sunday Visitor’s book division.
Bert
and Mary Lou, his wife of 46 years, have seven children and 14 grandchildren. They are active members of St. Mary Magdalen
Catholic Church and reside in Winter Park, Florida.
